To be fair, FOX totally boned the Firefly cast and crew. The pilot is incredibly important, and they essentially forced Joss Whedon to shoot a second, watered down, pilot that doesn’t really introduce things properly. Don’t throw the show under a bus because the network was utterly inept at anything and everything. Watch the real pilot, and I’ll wager you’ll have a much cheerier outlook on the show. If you still don’t like it after that, then so be it. It should also be noted that the Firefly community (aka Browncoats) are just about the friendliest group of folks you ever will meet on the great big interweb.
